Way-hey! Gladys has had her piglets!
Our Gladys is from the Josephine sow line of GOS's and the dad is a Patrick. She's knocking on a bit in years and the litter isn't as big as we'd expected but hopefully, it'll mean that the babies get more grub from the milk bar. her last litter was thirteen, so maybe she's just taking it easy.
She was munching away on the afterbirth when I went to see her this morning, which although a tad gruesome, is perfectly natural.
The piglets will go out into a grass paddock with their mum in about aweeks time. They'll be for sale as birth notified, or registered in eight weeks time.
